Fed up...

I hate to be unpatriotic here.  I hate to sound unAmerican.  My wife will tell you (and so will Major Dorothy Smith), that I like America.  That I am patriotic.  But, here's my issue.

I'M SICK OF THE ELECTION STUFF!!!!!!!!

I'm sick of the negative ads.
I'm sick of no one saying anything but negative things.
I'm sick of turning on the television and seeing people slam this, or that.
I'm sick of people assuming things about certain sections of society.
I'm sick of getting phone calls at my house telling me to vote one way or another.

I have to say, that I think we have one of the most adaptable governments in the world.  One of the best structures of government in the world.  The balance of power held in the three branches of government is wonderful.  I just wish we had better people running for office.  People who, when they say they won't go negative, don't.  Focus on what you are going to do, not what the other person has screwed up.  And when you screw up, admit it.  Take the responsibility, don't make excuse, learn from your mistakes and do it differently.  That is what will gain the respect of the people.  This is what really shows you character.  Not slamming others.

And on a similar note, why do I keep getting political phone calls?  I've been registered in the national do-not-call registry for the last three months.  I don't get call from people trying to sell me cell phones, satellite dishes and the other junk they try and sell you.  But, somehow I get between 3 and 5 political phone calls a day.  Are Republican and Democrat politicians somehow exempt from the do-not-call list?  If so, why?  No amount of your calls, during my breakfast, lunch and dinner, are going to make me change my mind!  In fact, each call makes me want to not vote for you.

Well, that's my rant for now...

Here's the depths of my mind...

Petulant pink pigs perpetually paint posts pink predictable procrastinating planting posies.

Now you know what goes through my mind when I'm not talking...

What's happenin'

Been awhile since I posted so I thought I would update.  Too busy (and tired) to give details, so I will list.  To keep it fun, I'll try to do it with all the words starting with "p".  We've been:

1. Packing
2. Painting
3. Prepping
4. Planning
5. Purging
6. Patching
7. Praying
8. Praising
9. Pang

Well, thats about it...

Later
